Rich storybook forest world with seasons, critters, and constructions. Art and components pull you deep in. Theme is baked into every mechanic.
Worker placement + card engine building. Send workers to gather resources, then play cards that combo off each other across 4 seasons.
Play unfolds across 4 seasons. On your turn either place a worker on a shared or exclusive location, play a card from your hand to your tableau (up to 15 cards), or prepare for the next season to reclaim workers and gain bonuses. Cards combo — the Post Office lets you discard cards to draw more, the Innkeeper discounts critter cards, the Queen chains free card plays. The engine builds slowly in spring, then explodes by autumn. Solo mode includes a Rugwort opponent deck.
Low to moderate — mostly competing for worker spots and cards. Can feel like parallel solitaire. Peaceful but less tense.
High — large card pool means no two games are the same. Expansions (Pearlbrook, Spirecrest) add significant new layers.
Large
Large. The 3D tree centerpiece alone demands space. Full spread with worker areas and tableau takes a full dining table.
